Top California and Arizona Girl Basketball Players  ----

With your kind indulgence --- For several years I have been the sole caretaker and financial supporter of this website, which, hopefully, has been of some value to all of you, with nearly 100,000 page views in the last 2 years.  As most of you are aware, since I moved to Arizona I have not been able to maintain certain facets of the site, especially game and player pictures.  If any are to be added, I must depend upon you.

Top Players to Watch:

Coachella Valley:

Shayna Timothy  5' 8"  Shooting guard  (Cathedral City - Senior)  Outstanding shooter, including 3 point; great attitude.  Knee operation kept her out first third of season.  Now back.  I’ve watched her and played with her.  Pictures

Leah Ribera  5' 7"  Point guard  averaging 28 points per game.  (Yucca Valley - Yucca Valley - Junior)    Picture

Nondi Johnson  6' 1"  Averaged 15.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game  (Cathedral City - Senior)  Good ball handler, quick hands, fast;  usually plays post, sometimes point guard.  Pictures  Going to Long Beach State.

Arizona:

Brittany Conger  5' 7"  Point/Shooting Guard  Excellent ball handler, assist to turnover ratio, scorer; understands the game  (Fountain Hills, AZ - Freshman)

Kate Bryan  5' 7"  Point guard  (Cathedral City/Indio)  Tremendous leaper/rebounder; good 3 point shot; excellent ball handler and passer; understands the game; her team is at least 3-4 times better when she is in the game; a true "gym rat".  Kate was her team's one very bright spot in their CIF playoff debacle (55 - 2 at halftime) vs. Troy.  Also outstanding at softball; catcher, can play any position but pitcher (.480 batting average).   Pictures  Not currently playing basketball!!

Angelica Castrejon  5' 7"  Shooting/Point guard  (Coachella Valley) Outstanding shooter, including 3 point, currently playing Post!; excellent ballhandler, strong rebounder, good hands, really understands the game (does all the little things that coaches appreciate, and improve the team, but for which there are no stats), great attitude, hard worker.  Another "gym rat".  I’ve watched her and played with her.  Picture   La Sierra University, Riverside, CA.

Emily Luckeroth  ~5’ 9” Guard averaged 20.8 points at 41.3% (40.5% 3 point), 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 3.1 assists per game  (Palm Desert)  Emily is a “gym rat”, tremendous energy and quickness, both offense and defense; should become one of the very best.  I’ve watched her and played with her for four years.  Pictures  Community College in Irvine, CA.
